guess what, after i made it work with power point in the English Seminar held with the inspector, and after i gave it to almost everyone Lycee present, i found that i didn't copy it in my own stick...could anyone upload it and put it here, it'd save me some time to go and watch some football matches...thanks.
PS: the lesson was about Child Labour, remember?!
well, the thing is that you couldn't make it simpler. Easy as pie, just follow the steps.- after you get in, go to "tous les messages", there you can read, upload a file, answer messages, write a message...simple. It's the same rule as for all the stuff that has something to do with Internet or computers; it's a question of MANIPULATION !
PS: the small icons in "nouveau message" on your top right allow you to insert an image, a video...
thanks.

PART ONE : Reading and Interpreting OSLO: The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded its 2008 Peace Prize on Friday to Martti Ahtisaari, the former Finnish president who has been associated over decades with peace efforts and quiet, cautious diplomacy from Asia to Africa and Europe. Out of 197 people nominated for the annual prize, the committee said, Ahtisaari had been chosen "for his important efforts in several continents and over three decades to resolve international conflicts." He has played a central role in ending conflicts that took root in the late 20th century and threatened the early 21st century with conflagrations in many places. Specifically, the committee mentioned his work in ending South African domination of Namibia, the former South-West Africa, from the 1970s to the late 1990s , and peace efforts in the Indonesian province of Aceh, Kosovo, Northern Ireland, Central Asia, the Horn of Africa and, most recently, in Iraq. In an initial response, Ahtisaari said he was "very pleased and grateful" at receiving the prize, which is worth $1.4 million. It will be awarded to him at a ceremony inOsloon December 10. In a television interview after the award was announced, Ahtisaari indicated that he might slow the pace of his travels, which, he said, had kept him away fromFinlandfor 200 days a year. "I want to spend more time with my wife," he said. ( Adapted from Herald Tribune International Website www.iht.com ) Comprehension 1/ The text is : (1pt) 2/ Say if these statements are true or false. THIRD TERM TEST -1-
Part I: Reading: Read the text carefully then answer the following questions
There’s an old prayer that goes; “Lord, protect me from my friends because I know who my enemies are.” Many of us don’t recognize their friends from their enemies until the knife is sticking out of our backs. One of the neat things about friendship is that it is pretty unconditional. It isn’t, “I’ll be your friend if you loan me your iPod”, or “I’ll love you if you do all I want.”
A true friend doesn’t need you to justify your behavior. You don’t have to ‘prove’ to him or her that you are ‘right’ or that the reason you did or said was because of…someone who is not a real friend will demand your explanation; “Why did you say that?” or “X told me you did…. and I want you to tell me your ’version’.”
A real friend might hear you did or said something and if you want to tell them the why, he just would not listen to your explanation. After all, a real friend automatically assumes you had a good reason why you did/said things and knows that you’ll tell them at some point.
Friends care about your feelings. Your feelings are the first thing in their minds, hence they don’t say things to hurt you, and they don’t construct events to make you the villain. People, who don’t care about your feelings, are enemies. Those who are your friends surely wouldn’t stand up in the crowd and say; “I’m not surprised”, or go on in some avid manner as if they have lived all their lives to see you fall on your face. So, don’t feel sad when your best Friend proves to be an enemy, consider yourself lucky to discover him/ her so early, and be thankful the knife isn’t sticking out of your back.
